A Renault Master ambulance quotation is comparable only when it describes the exact chassis and conversion. The model name alone does not tell a fleet buyer which clinical tasks the vehicle can support. Put the following items in the request for quotation so that every bidder prices the same scope.
Identify the base vehicle
State destination country, steering position, model year, engine, transmission, roof configuration and whether the chassis must be new and unused. Ask for the exact manufacturer specification of the proposed vehicle and a realistic availability date. Confirm that the chosen chassis can be registered for the intended use at the destination.
Define the clinical task
Specify patient transport, basic life support or another intended service; list the number of patients and crew. Request a dimensioned drawing with the stretcher, attendant seat, cabinets, oxygen storage, doors and working clearances. The clinical team should approve the layout before production.
List installed and portable equipment separately
Require manufacturer, model and quantity for the stretcher, fixation, seating and medical devices. State which devices the customer will provide and who will mount, connect and test them. A broad phrase such as “full equipment” is not an equipment schedule.
Check payload and utilities
Ask for the permitted gross weight and an estimate including conversion, equipment, crew and patient. Request a circuit schedule, charging arrangement and climate control concept for the operating environment. Specify what must work when the engine is switched off.
Write the acceptance and handover terms
Agree in advance on factory checks for restraint systems, lighting, electrical supply, oxygen installation, heating and cooling, and a road test. Ask for the final drawings, manuals, training and separate warranty terms for chassis, conversion and devices. List delivery basis, shipping responsibility and the local service contact.
